Even after the end of Hawaii cane cultivation and some adverse weather in recent months, U.S. cane sugar output could still hit USDA’s forecast of 4.04 million STRV, a 19-year high.

Despite poor rains, Florida could reach a two- or three-year high on high sugar content and good weather for plant and harvest. Louisiana saw excess rains, but planting gains and strong tonnage mean a near-record crop is still possible.
