Imports of raw tariff-rate quota (TRQ) sugar were 673,384 metric tons raw value (MTRV) from October through April, down 13.3 percent from the same period last season. Refined TRQ imports, conversely, are up 8.7 percent at 151,181 MTRV.

U.S. imports for the season to date total 1.721 million MTRV, down 1.7 percent YOY. Among larger categories of imports, the imports of Mexican sugar are down 10.9 percent, while the re-export volume is up 50.9 percent.
