For the week ending Jun 3, U.S. ethanol blending and refining use was 898,000 barrels per day (bpd), a five-week low and down about 1 percent YOY.
Ethanol production for the week was 1.039 million bpd, down 3 percent week on week but up almost 3 percent from the five-year average.
Weekly endings stocks were 23.6 million, up about 3 percent YOY and up 9 percent from the five-year average.
EPA recently set the 2022 corn-based ethanol blend mandate at a record 15.25 billion gallons as the current administration seeks to strengthen the Renewable Fuel Standard amid soaring gas prices.
