For the week ending Apr. 7, U.S. weekly corn exports were just under 1.6 MMT (63.0 million bushels), a three-week low and down 14 percent YOY. Cumulative U.S. exports reached nearly 35.4 MMT (1.394 billion bushels), down 6.4 percent YOY.
Net weekly export sales were 1.3 MMT (51.2 million bushels), up 70 percent week on week. Outstanding sales were 20.4 MMT (803.1 million bushels), down about 30 percent YOY. Top buyers for the week included China (671,500 MT), Mexico (418,800 MT), and South Korea (151,000 MT).
Total commitments reached nearly 56.0 MMT (2.205 billion bushels), 83.3 percent of USDA’s 2021/22 season forecast.
