October 2019 sugar deliveries to the beverage sector totaled 59,700 short tons (ST), per FSA reporting. This volume was down over 5 percent from deliveries in October 2019. Deliveries to the beverage sector represented 6 percent of all sugar deliveries for human use and products re-export by reporters.

In 2018/19, sugar deliveries to the beverage sector were up 2.7 percent from 2017/18 deliveries to the sector and accounted for 6.8 percent of all sugar deliveries for human use.

Deliveries to the beverage sector have trended higher since the mid-2000s. Growth has slowed in recent years, averaging 4.2 percent over the last five years.
