With one month remaining in the main crop portion of the cocoa season, Ivory Coast is on trend at this point for its third consecutive harvest topping 2 MMT. Cumulative arrivals stand at 1.5 MMT, and cumulative Oct-Jan cocoa bean exports totaled 701,530 MT, up 12 percent from last season.

Rains have been adequate and looking forward, we expect IC’s midcrop to be around 500,000 MT.

Ivory Coast continues to move away from its auction-based forward-selling program as it aligns itself with neighboring Ghana’s direct sales strategy.
