Ghana saw a welcome increase in precipitation in the last ten days, mostly located in the coastal south and the northern regions, sprinkled elsewhere in the center of the country. Ivory Coast, however, has only seen a smattering of above-average rains, with most of the center and south of the country reporting 80 to 50 percent of average—below that in the western part of the country.

Additional precipitation would help ensure bean sizing and quality for the remainder of the midcrop, which is officially estimated to come in at 500,000 MT.
