USDA in its Agricultural Outlook last week, projected corn acres at 90 million acres, matching soybeans for the first time. Acreage will be virtually unchanged compared to last year when 90.2 million acres were planted. Yield is projected at 174 bushels per acre, lower than this year’s record of 176.6 bushels per acre.
