Mexico’s orange production rose 2 percent in 2018/19 vs. the previous season, allowing processors to increase juice production 8 percent year over year.

Mexican orange juice processors produced an estimated 210,000 MT of 65˚ Brix FCOJ equivalent this season, up 8 percent from 2017/18 and tying with 2016/17 for record volume. Nearly all 2018/19’s production was exported, 203,000 MT of concentrate equivalent. The rise in production covered the increase in exports, allowing the season’s ending stocks to remain unchanged year over year at 2,000 MT.
