For the week ending Sep. 18, the average reference price for Mexico estandar sugar rose 1.4 percent from a month prior and averaged up 28 percent YOY. Refined price was up almost 1 percent for the week and up 25 percent YOY.

For Sep. 21, estandar and refined pricing were up 0.3 percent and 0.6 percent, respectively, from the previous week’s average. Stronger pricing would normally be expected ahead of the start of the new crush campaign, and tight domestic stocks are expected to continue to bolster prices.
