After more than a month of sluggish corn export sales to Mexico, net sales during the week of Nov. 17 shot up to 1.70 MMT, the highest volume of weekly corn orders Mexico has logged to date. These sales lifted Mexico’s outstanding purchases to 6.28 MMT, up 2.5 percent year over year. The previous week, outstanding sales of 4.81 MMT were down 17 percent YOY.
Most of the week’s shipments were also destined for Mexico, at 229,647 MT out of the total 462,286 MT exported. Weekly exports to Mexico remained on the lower side of average.
