From October through March, cocoa bean arrivals at major Ivorian ports are estimated to have reached 1.70 MMT, up some 13 percent YOY.

Given weather to date and reporting from the field, midcrop output may reach at least half a million metric tons, putting our current forecast for 2018/19 at output of 2.15 MMT of cocoa, well within reach. Below-average rainfall has been observed in some growing areas in the last few weeks.
