ECA reported cocoa grind in Europe for Q1 2021 at 357,815 MT of beans, down 3.0 percent YOY. This follows a decline of half a percent in Q1 2020 vs. the same quarter in 2019.

For Europe, Q1 grind marked the eighth straight month of YOY declines, averaging about 3 percent thanks to especially steep declines in Q2 and Q3 of 2020.

On a calendar year basis, grind in the first half of 2020/21 was down 3.1% from the same two quarters in 2019/20.
