As the U.S. continues with several trade disputes, countries such as Russia and Ukraine seem to be benefiting from increased trade. The Black Sea’s international wheat trade share increased to 37 percent during 2017/18, more than the U.S. and Canada combined, according to Reuters. Mexico and Brazil have purchased Russian wheat, which is a very unusual trade flow. Russia has also exported 850,000 metric tons (MT) of soybeans to China, more than double the 340,000 MT exported last year.
