Mexico’s sugarcane campaign has picked up speed, with 46 mills now crushing. In the week ending Dec. 17, crush was down 6 percent YOY. With yield down at 9.3 percent vs. 10.1 percent a year ago, production for the week was 178,764 MT, down 13 percent YOY.

Cumulative production is down 26 percent YOY. Production is down across most sugar grades except for blanco especial.
