According to Monday’s USDA crop report, corn and soybean conditions continue to decline quickly. Corn rated good to excellent as of July 15 had dropped 3 points, to 72 percent of the crop, in just one week. The soybean crop was pegged at 69 percent good to excellent, down 2 points from the week before. Hot, dry weather in the last few days has affected both crops, though they still remain in relatively good condition.
