Crush higher in second half of July: In the last half of July, crush was 49.7 MMT, up 4.3 percent from the same period last season. The sugar share was 37 percent, down 1.3 points YOY, helping bring sugar output down 5.5 percent YOY at 2.478 MMT. Sugar yield is down 9.4 percent from the same period a year ago.

Cumulative center-south crush down 2.8 percent: April-July crush reached 307.8 MMT. Thanks to a cumulative sugar share of 35.3, down 1.1 points YOY, and a 7.3 percent drop in sugar recovery, sugar output is down 9.9 percent YOY at 13.33 MMT.

Sugar exports down 18 percent: Cumulative exports totaled 5.69 MMT of sugar. Ethanol exports are down 9.5 percent at 432 million liters.
