Center-south cane crush from April through mid-August reached 350.3 MMT. Sugar share is down nearly a point YOY at 35 percent of cane crush. Along with a drop of more than 6 percent in sugar recovery, sugar output is down 6.3 percent YOY at 15.46 MMT.

Cumulative crush is up 3.3 percent vs. the five-year average, while sugar output is down 15.4 percent from the five-year average.

Ethanol yield per MT of cane is down 2.5 percent. Ethanol production totaled 17.87 billion liters, down 1.4 percent YOY. Hydrous and anhydrous output totaled 12.35 and 5.53 billion liters, respectively.
