For the marketing year to date, October through April, domestic deliveries of sugar totaled 6.942 million short tons, raw value (STRV), down 1.4 percent from deliveries a year ago.

Marketing year to date, beet sugar deliveries are up 1.2 percent, while cane sugar deliveries are down 0.9 percent. Looking only at the last four reported months—January through April—beet and cane deliveries were down 2.7 percent and up 1.7 percent, respectively.

Overall, the following sectors are still seeing more significant growth this season: confectionery, ice cream and dairy, and multiple use.
