Per the Coffee and Cocoa Counsel (CCC), arrivals for the 2018/19 main crop in October and November totaled more than 725,800 MT of beans, a figure well above trade estimates for that period. The volume of arrivals at major Ivorian ports for those two months is up about 31 percent from arrivals last season and up some 70 percent from the ten-year average.
This new reported volume naturally cast a bearish tone on the supply and demand outlook. The publication of regional grind figures for last quarter will shed some light on demand growth. First up, European grind, scheduled for publication Jan. 16.
